Re: playing 2 keepers in same test
why is that dhoni never gives up his keeping gloves whenever there is another keeper in the team ? ravi shashtry mentioned a good point, dhoni should allow saha to don the keeping gloves and that gives dhoni a different perspective as a captain. only 4 wkts in 150 overs and dhoni is not doing any thing. he can also bowl a few overs...
and he made saha field at deep mid wicket, the poor guy cant throw the ball upto the keeper. Reply•Quote |

Re: playing 2 keepers in same test
Well Dhoni has indeed given the gloves to DK several times.. that hos he got to bowl atleast...
but yes he could have done it here but thats just a quiblle to try out our luck... no benefit if Dhoni thinks its his responsibility to do the keeping in such a crucial game... Reply•Quote |

Re: playing 2 keepers in same test
but you dont need to be behind stumps all the day. may be one session will give you that information
this test has exposed several weeknesses 1. we dont have a good allrounder who can bat at 7 and bowl few good overs 2. selectors cant pick the teams properly, even at home. where is the need for 2 keepers at home ? what happened to all the reserve batsmen ? we should have gone with atleast 3 reserve batsmen when we clearly know VVS is doubtful and dravid, yuvraj are already down. selectors missed a pont here. 3. we dont have a 5th bolwer to chose !!! what a pity !!! when rohit was down, we should have picked a 5th bowler. he could have scored as many runs as saha and may be picked up few wickets. but the fact of the matter is we dont have 3rd, 4th bolwer. bajjy is a shadow of his past if that ever was glorious. mishra is poor mans kaneria. sreesant is injured. they should have picked the in-form mithun as 3rd fast bowler 4. we are depending too much on the toss. 5. after we won the 1st test in bangladesh, we should have rested some seniors Reply•Quote |

Quote: We undertsand WHY now. Because Saha has shown hismelf to be a better batsman and Shastri etal are saying on air Saha is reputed to be the best gloveman in India. If Dhoni lets all how good Saha is with the gloves....he may be making hismelf redundant ![]() Reply•Quote |
