quota player rohit sharma continues to flop
now roshit sharmas failures continue & after failing in domestic odis getting 17 runs in 4 innings in the domestic odis, he continues to suck even in his fav format getting out for 13. the req rr was around 7 & he still couldnt do anything at all ![]() ![]()
even though i am not following the ipl, i still hope that roshit sharma flops in ipl & is never seen anywhere near the indian team he cant play spin, cant play short-pitched and cant even rotate the strike Reply•Quote |

Re: quota player rohit sharma continues to flop
Yep Rohit has lost it. The guy was spoilt by the selectors and team management. Hope he can find his way back, but it's gonna take a lot of hard work. _______________________ India's Test record against Australia over last 12 years: Played 26, Won 10, Lost 10, Drawn 6 Reply•Quote |

Re: quota player rohit sharma continues to flop
@anathd, rohit sharma has totally lost it. he cant even rotate the strike these days, which is 1 of the most basic requirements in 20/20
and he wont be able to do well in 20/20 now unless he plays against a weak team. even last ipl, he dill well only against kkr. take out kkr and he had a **** record even in ipl 2009 rohit sharma will be kicked out of the deccan chargers xi after 5-6 matches Reply•Quote |

Re: quota player rohit sharma continues to flop
at the time he was batting, only 2 overs were left & he had to hit 4s & 6s. and hitting 4s & 6s off a bowler having a **** day isnt tough and thats what this quota player rohit sharma did. nothing to be excited about this innings. even zaheer khan has hit some huge 6s off better bowlers batting in the last 2-3 overs, so does that make zaheer khan a amazing batsman??? Re: quota player rohit sharma continues to flop
last match against kkr, roshit sharma returns back to form. plays a explosive knock of 2 from 6 balls and starts shitting in his pants at the slight touch of pressure
also, another coincidence that rohit sharma(shikari shambu) hasnt posted here since then Reply•Quote |

Re: quota player rohit sharma continues to flop
^he is in the team due to quota system. if tendulkar had made himself available for selection, then roshit sharma wouldnt have been in the squad. in the absence of tendulkar, quota players r looked at and roshit sharma gets the quota player slot in the indian team Reply•Quote |

Re: quota player rohit sharma continues to flop
Good innings by Rohit, but he choked in the last over. Just one four was needed to win the match, and he had 4 chances. A well set batsman should have finished it off. _______________________ India's Test record against Australia over last 12 years: Played 26, Won 10, Lost 10, Drawn 6 Reply•Quote |

^he was retired hurt & when he came into bat, the match was already lost. it wouldnt classify as choking
rohit sharma started shitting in his pants even with the req rr being about 8. dc needed 23 off 18 balls with 5 wickets in hand at 1 stage & still roshit sharma couldnt do anything at all Reply•Quote |

Re: quota player rohit sharma continues to flop
How come Tendu come in the Discussion when it it about Rohit.
Rohit is talented bat in T20 with captain faith in him. so I'll give player which captain want then other way. with sehwag/yuvi/pathan/Raina explosive battings we want some inning builder with good strike rate and Gambhir/Dhoni/ROhit fits the team thinking. Reply•Quote |

Re: quota player rohit sharma continues to flop
Sanjay Manjrekar
[www.cricinfo.com] Vijay and Rohit need to be playing Tests I think anyone who has watched the IPL so far will perhaps agree with me that the two batsmen who can carry the mantle of the Tendulkars, Sehwags, Dravids and Laxmans to the next decade - the mantle of class and ability at the Test, ODI and Twenty20 level - are M Vijay and Rohit Sharma. They look a class apart from some of the other young batsmen, especially Vijay. When he got that hundred [against Rajasthan Royals] he probably discovered, for the first time, the kind of hitting ability he has. Rohit is a man with plenty of class and that innings against the Royals, where he almost won the game single-handedly for the Deccan Chargers, again showed that that these guys are different from the rest. I agree that Rohit sometimes disappoints by getting out at times when you least expect it, and maybe the consistency is missing, but there is something that the national selectors can learn from the Mumbai team - which has been the winning the Ranji Trophy for a long time and has always been a team that has given us some top-class international players over the years. The Mumbai selectors have sometimes overlooked the consistency [factor] and weightage of runs when they saw someone with talent, potential and ability, especially in young batsmen. And those are the kind of batsmen they back. And in the end those batsmen very rarely let them down. So maybe the Indian selectors also need to back Vijay and Rohit and make sure they are in the Test squad as much as possible, so that they can rub shoulders and spend quality time with the likes of Dravid and Tendulkar in that Indian dressing room. If they do that, these are two batsmen who will not let the selectors down, and could be sources of pride for India in the next decade, after the truly great batsmen who we have currently in the team, leave the team.
