Re: ganguly
It had more to do with Deccan Chargers choking than any brilliant captaincy. DC have got out too many out of form/rusty batsmen in the middle order (Gibbs, Symonds, Rohit). _______________________ India's Test record against Australia over last 12 years: Played 26, Won 10, Lost 10, Drawn 6 Reply•Quote |

Re: ganguly
Looks like hard for a Tiger to change its stripes...
Ganguly fined MUMBAI: The Indian Premier League informed that Kolkata Knight Riders captain Sourav Ganguly has been fined $20,000 for his team's slow over-rate during the opening match against Deccan Chargers on Friday. At the end of the match, KKR was assessed to be three overs behind the required rate and under the Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, match referee Andy Pycroft fined Ganguly. — Special Correspondent Reply•Quote |

Re: ganguly
And the old[ TIGER showed his stripes in the last 2 games...instrumental in KKR losing both of them..one to the bottom placed side like Rajasthan..
This showed that the win against DC was a fluke, with DC losing either by fixing or by brainlessness.. Seeing KKR, Punjab must be think of their first victory ![]() ..Reply•Quote |

Re: ganguly
SRT is an active intern...ational cricketer in prime form and one of the all time greats.
ganguly is a one time good , retired part-timer.....who is running on passion and aggression. as I have said many times since IPL started he must bat at #6.......to play 10-15 ball cameos if required.......like Ranatunga did in his twilight days. He doesn;t need to lead-from-the-front in this IPL format No one can make you feel inferior without your consent-Eleanor Roosevelt Reply•Quote |

Re: ganguly
Ganguly should become coach of KKR. It's obvious he doesn't cut it as a batsman in this format. He has always needed time to get settled and play shots, more so now that he is older. And time is in short supply in T20. You need to be able to go full tilt from ball one. _______________________ India's Test record against Australia over last 12 years: Played 26, Won 10, Lost 10, Drawn 6 Reply•Quote |

Re: ganguly
Played all sorts of filthy politics in last year's IPL, when he refused to except the hint that he was not needed anymore and therefore should justify his place in the side purely as a player.
Poor SRK fell for the slimy Bengali's dirty games and handed him the captaincy this time. And he's about to get a wooden spoon again ! WOn't be surprised if SRK kicks out the nose digging ugly clown prince mid way of this tournament. Reply•Quote |

Re: ganguly
When you have an utter utter liability of a player like Ganguly in the side, there is no way as captain you can command any respectability in the team, and nor can you inspire the team.
Everyone and his uncle knows the fakeipl player is a rogue journalist that the filthy clown prince backed. Is it any surprise that he has gone totally underground since the clown prince has taken over ? The filthy nose digger has always thought that captaincy is his pop's sofa and that he owns it automatically and that the game owes him something. The shameless jealous man can't fathom Dhoni's spectacular rise as a captain and player and instead of being proud of his achievements called Ponting a better captain than Dhoni . LOL. Reply•Quote |

Re: ganguly
I don't make up stuff.
Ganguly said this in an interview in a casual manner after we beat Sri Lanka in the Mumbai test last year and India reached the NO.1 test spot. The interview asked him if Dhoni was the best captain in world cricket for having got India to the No.1 position in test cricket for the first time, he said Ponting was the best in business and that Dhoni had potential to be the best. If I do get this on youtube, I shall post it. If you don't want to take my word, suit yourself. Reply•Quote |

He still chose the most difficult...but correct and honest option.... Opened....faced the new ball and fastest bowlers.....got a 130%SR fifty, led the foundation for a walloping win. Re: ganguly
So by Overly honest you are saying he is taking the best option in his mind for the team?
Well he did show that he was willing to do what it took to win... like asking Veeru to open in ODIs.. Dravid to keep wickets...asking Sachin to move to number 4 and then sacrificing his opening spot when Sachin wanted to open again...in WC03... Reply•Quote |
