Parthiv Patel should have been made captain
He has a lot of experience as a captain in FC and A tours.

Raina has no or negligible experience.

Bhai vetoed against PP

PP shud first earn a permanent spot in playing 11 bfr getting captaincy..

KKD proved a big failure for DD.

PP is not a permanent member, so cant come in directly as captain. badri would have been a better choice

@anu_d, parthiv isnt even in the 1st choice xi. after dhoni, the only options to captain were raina & badrinath. and given that raina has captained up & has intl experience, so he got the chance to captain ahead of badrinath

next year when Ahmedabad has a team PP will be the captain.

PP has more experience to be captain.
If it wasn't PP, Badri should have been the captain....who has captained India A as well as TN

pp can be a steady batsman, and his wicket keeping horrors are well known. plz spare him captaincy . i dunno abt rainas captaincy credentials so im guessing csk are in some trouble this semester.

It's not the captaincy that is doing in CSK. It's their poor selection of local talent. They should have grabbed Chennai ex-ICL guys Satish and Vignesh, who are far better T20 players than the likes of Vijay. Mumbai has done an excellent job of local recruiting this season and are doing well. You got to keep moving every year and not stagnate in this kind of tournament.

he is captaining because they ( CSK owners) have let him.

He was hired on reputation of winning a B class T20 and wcup.....he will get one more IPL and then will go the Yuv and VVSl way

dhoni never missed any game for india, he plays lot of cricket ,, tests, odi, T20. how he got injured ? struck by bond ?

i agree with max. vijay, badri , patel are not T20 type. should have picked satish, vignesh, v shiv's son.... they got too many aged oversees players like flintoff, hayden, oram, ntini, murali..
