The guys is ahead of all Kings players except Bopara in Batting, though his strike rate is way higher than Borparas... and is better than Sreesanth and other pacers in bowling... yet he is not even in the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup ... WTF?

The excuse is that he was not fit? OK so an unfit Pathan is scoring runs like water...and keeping things tight with his bowling... so a FIT Pathan would score a 50 and take 4 wickets EVERY match...no?

There is definitely more that what meets the eye about his exclusion from the team...

What about Zaheer Khan?

irfan shud play in the indian team as a batting allrounder and yusuf as a bowling allrounder, while i belive irfan is more suited to being a test match allrounder considering we play 7 batsman including him and agenda bhai and four bowlers ie 2 pacers and 2 spinners . australia have always relied on reifell, mc dermott , warne , healy and the lot for good tail end support , and i think india shud look at bhajji and zaheer for hanging around with the top order consistently.irfan has a very decent techniqe as a batsman.

yusuf is a perfect t-20 and odi player as a bowling allrounder ie 7-10 over in a odi and 4 overs in a t 20 and he can always bat at no 3 for the loss of an early wicket or no 7 -8 if we need to push in teh ending overs.

zaheer is 1 of the senior players, so dhoni cant do anything against him

Zaheer is so heads and shoulders( says 80%) above any other bowler in the country....if Zaheer was like even 20% better than the next guy....he would have faced the same fate as Irfan brothers.

Birbal, Irfan is bowling as slow as Chaminda Vaas, and has also lost his main weapon (swing). Btw, his ex-new ball partner Balaji has upped his level this year. Bowling in the 130's and moving the ball both ways. If he keeps this up, can be in contention for the Indian team soon, especially given the recent poor showings of RP, Munaf, Tyagi, etc.

irfan can score 5 centuries if he plays 50 tests. he is that type of a batsman. problem is his bowling. not picking wickets is one thing but leaking runs and releasing the pressure is another. i dont think he can get back his bowling.

if karthik can play as pure batsman, why not irfan ?

atleast he should be seelcted for ODI, T20 games

Apparently T20 WC squad was chosen without taking IPL 3 performances into consideration?

When T20 WCup probables were announced he was unfit.. If I was a selector I would try to squeeze him in..
