India v. Australia 4th Test, Dharamshala

Steve Smith saves Aussies the blushes... otherwise sub 200 score was on the cards...especially if Karun Nair had not muffed a relatively easy chance off the FIRST ball of the match...

The pitch has quite a bit in it for bowlers so India will have to play really well to match the Aussie score. They should be looking to take a lead though, as they will bat last...

Kuldeep Yadav is quite a challenge with his left arm leg spin (i.e. chinaman bowling)... heard he is a decent bat too... India will need all the batting it can muster as they go with 5 specialist bowlers...

Big responsibility on everyone in the line up with the bat.

Karun Nair disappoints again.... one big innings of 303* and then 26, 0, 23, 5...while dropping some key catches...he is NOT pulling his weight which is really not OK with India batting one batsman short...

Sir Jadeja... leads India to position of immense strength. India need 87 runs to win with all 10 wickets standing...

Still not a done deal...not by a long shot...but it is definitely looking good.

Cr@pinfo predictably highlights SA v. NZ Test... as India looks set to reclaim the Border Gavaskar Trophy...smiling smiley

They are so predictable in their COCONUT-GIRI...smiling smiley

Umesh Yadav was fabulous I thought, some real hostility....

Jadeja & Ashwin may get headlines, but Yadav has been the unsung bowling hero of this home season...

I'm not sure the Aussies or any team want to face a healthy Yadav/Shami combo as the opening pair overseas...

Besides real pace and the ability to reverse, the guy is built like a HORSE and does his job without complaints, unlike Shami who seems to be walking hospital or any other decent fast bowler for that matter...

24 needed with a bunny coming in at 11? No problem!

Yadav is a GEM... he shouldn't be wasted in ODIs and T20s...

Good thing about Umesh is that he has got great fitness.
He should play selectively. No need to play in meaningless T20s or ODIS.
Should take part in Tests and ICC tourneys only. BCCI need to manage him carefully.

But even a A grade Test contract is only 2 crores...while IPL contracts even for average players are 4-5 crores...sad smiley
