Someone dressed as a banana is upsetting the (jobsworth) stewards. A case for the peelers, surely.

Mike

See the draw stroke played here albeit by a man:

Difficult to tell whether or not it was deliberately played between the legs until you see close up towards the end.

So the World Cup final on Sunday, at a sold-out Lord's, will be England v India, who knocked out Australia today.

Patriotism aside, I cant help thinking an India win would be so good for the women's game, not only in India but worldwide.

Any chance of signing Ms Kaur to open our T20 batting?

Is there any regulation that says we couldn't? I think ~I remember the lady at Sussex playing .

McEnroe would probably rank her 700th in the world, but I'd place her a lot higher.

Let's hope for a cracking final today, worthy of what has been an excellent tournament. I note that five officials are listed for the match; it's a pity that all of them appear to be male. (It's not just the BBC that gets such things wrong!)

Female commentators on the BBC team today - wonder if they get the same fee

LOL, I'm not aware that women are under-represented on television, are they? Quite the opposite, I believe.

In Norway all salaries, for everyone, are recorded on a publicly accessible online database. That would be interesting in this country..

My comment about the role of female officials in today's match related to cricket administration and not to television (of which I know very little, though I believe it has been invented).

Sorry, LOL, I misunderstood. I thought you were saying the BBC and the ICC were guilty of women being under-represented.

There were female umpires in the earlier round of matches.

This match could go either way.

India need 11 from 11 ball with one wicket remaining.

What a match.

5 wickets for our very own Shrubsole - and now a dropped catch.

Utterly brilliant win, with SIX wickets for Shrubsole.
