England win, a good advert for women's cricket.

And well done Anya Shrubsole.

Shrubbers!

A brilliant come-back - India looked to have it in the bag.

What a marvellous cricket match. Many more people will have heard of Anya Shrubsole this evening than knew of her this morning!

Sports Personality of the Year! And to be paid the same as James Anderson?

No argument from me. She bowled so well against Sri Lankan and got nothing on the day.

Excellent advert for cricket as a game and it will have opened the eyes of millions of Indians to the power of women's cricket.

Yet another splendid advertisement for the game with another nail-biting finish. Very well bowled Anya, and well done to the whole England team who all had their moments at some time in the tournament. Well done also to the unfancied Indian ladies who beat both the pre-tournament favourites and so nearly took the while thing.

I fancied one or two of the indian ladies....

The indians certainly brought their batting game to the tournament. England brought a team and you struggle to keep up with one of them when everyone plays their part.

Excellent game, well worth the channel-hopping from the golf. Well played Anya Shrubsole - despite one of the all-time-great dropped catches off the game's penultimate ball.

England were about 20 runs short and proved by bowling India out, they are the complete outfit. And on the day England's women beat Spain in football, the men have something to aspire to - holding a cricket trophy deservedly won.

It would be good if Anya Shrubsole, our very own Somerset player, were to be invited to do a lap of honour at our next home match (media commitments allowing!).

Just switched on Sky to see they are showing a live domestic women's game.

One of the Western Storm ladies makes Dwayne Leverock look like Twiggy!

Went to the match. Not a great spectacle unfortunately which the Vipers won rather easily

The trouble is, once you go below international level, the standard isn't very high.

I would say you could see a better men's club 2nd XI match- and Sky wouldn't dream of televising that.

Looks like Michael Bates is in the dugout for the Western Storm. Presume he must be one of their coaches

Yes he's on the coaching staff. He was also involved in coaching the England team in the women's World Cup.

Hard total for the Western Storm to get v Yorkshire Diamonds.

Yorkshire set a target of 161 for the Western Storm to win. It did look like it was going to be a higher target at one point with Yorkshire scoring at ten an over.

Western Storm's gloriously Templar opening pair of Knight and Priest have put 123 on the board after 13 overs and still going strong.
