An experienced quality no 3 would help but given that and even without it:

The nightmare is over.
The world has changed.
We have the leadership.
We have the management.
We have the ground.
We have the groundstaff.
We have the players.
We have the supporters.

If we have the will we will win the Championship in 2018.

No more to be said.

Come back on here in a year's time and see.

Poetic thoughts FW.

When I read the first few lines I thought perhaps Mr Trump had resigned,.... but that really would be too much to ask !

Sorry Grizzzly, forgot Trump.

That last line should have read:

"Come back if we are here in a year's time and see."

Er, is that Harvey Trump? Is there another with the same surname as the sometime Somerset off-spinner and, if memory serves, an impressive fielder at point. If there is, somebody could perhaps fill me in...

Yes, sfwithers. Harvey was a very good gulley cum point fielder. I always think of him and Bill Alley as specialists in that position.

It's a good job Harvey could field close because he couldn't run to save his life.

This brings back to me my first memory of Somerset whilst watching a match at Clarence Park WSM.in the fifties.
The opposition batsman edged a ball wide (or so it appeared) of Bill Alley who was fielding in the gulley. He ran (using the term in its loosest sense) after the ball for about 20 yards before turning and watching as the batsmen crossed for their second run.
As they turned for a third he fished the ball out of his pocket claiming the catch. The dismissed batsman did not seem to think it particularly amusing. An eight year old on his first visit to watch SCCC did and has been been a devoted follower of the county ever since. Happy days.

Now come on you lot, some of us only managed French 'O' Level at the fourth attempt and have long since forgotten whatever it was they tried to teach us. If only we had had 'Google Translate' then.

Now when it comes to Albanian,

After listening to Jason Kerr's interview on the club site, the only mention of additions needed to the current squad was an overseas player, I hope that Andy Hurry has other potential additions in mind for 2018, as I personally feel we are a quick bowler, and another batter/all rounder short.

I second Roger Ivanhoe's comments, either with or without an outrageous West Country accent (I was born and bred in Bath. In my head I speak in received pronunciation, though when I hear my voice it's more like Fred Wedlock?!). Yep, we need a little bit of mettle in the team, a top-class overseas player to play all - or most - of the season and somebody to bolster the top of what was quite a flaky batting line-up this season. I'm hoping that Jason Kerr's interview of him playing his card close to his chest.
