And here comes Gloucestershire!!

The derby game is usually a great event but the result of this one will have a significant effect on the RLODC table with just one game left after it. Exciting!!

Latest met office forecast shows no rain in Taunton after midnight, with an odd chance of a shower between 3 and 4 pm, Assuming we don't get a deluge tonight there should be a result.
Would be nice to win the toss for once when the conditions are like this.
I would go with the following team tomorrow;
Renshaw
Myburgh
Trego
Hildreth
Davies
Banton
Gregory
Van de Meuvre
C Overton
Ben Green
Tim Groenswald

My team for tomorrow:

Renshaw
Myburgh
Trego
Hildreth
Davies
Banton
Gregory
RVDM
Craig Overton
Groenewald
Waller

Would pick Waller ahead of Jamie Overton and Ben Green as his spin bowling can be useful, but more importantly his fielding can help us win games.

Do we know Craig & Tim are fit?
Club have been silent on both over recent omissions.
I dont ever trust players we name in squads are necessarily fit for selection, we often fib!

I would guess maybe at same team as Kent with maybe Max in for Ben if conditions/pitch justify it.

True WSM fan, but Craig Ove’s late omission was due to injury sustained in the dreaded warm up. I was under the impression that Timmy G was being rested. No confirmation from club on website to say he had a niggle of some sort.

My team I believe is strongest available that is best equipped to win the game today. Batting order needs reshuffling and for me Renshaw must open.

Looks a bit dark in Taunton.

Do you want us to send you a bit of our sunshine? It's 100 and bloody 15F here!!

We certainly have some to spare.

After the loss of two early wickets, PT and JH put on an entertaining and quick scoring 100 stand before PT was bowled by what seemed quite an innocuous delivery.
No worry, JH was well set and MR was promoted to continue the good work.
Then disaster. MR bowled by a yorker for a four ball duck and, having survived a ridiculous run-our chance, JH was then run-out fron another silly piece of running.
Mr. Banton now owes us a few runs.

Oh dear oh lore!! RvdM and not a lot else with about 20 overs to go. Hampshire result may not be relevant at this rate.

The team cerebral capacity seemed to depart with PT’s dismissal.

Banton running out James and then getting himself out (after being fortunate not to get caught when reverse sweeping, having already been out in a similar manner earlier in the competition), was more than a little dispiriteinh.

Tail needs to wag to get anything like a competitive score.

And it just gets worse.
Green now run out. Pats, starts, hesitates, starts again and run out by a direct hit.
An hour ago, this game was won (in my mind) and the only question, with PT and JH batting and a run rate of over 7.5, was whether we would get 350 or, perhaps, even 400.
And, as I type, JOVE is caught.
11 overs still to go and only 200 on the board with one wicket remaining.
If, by some chance,we should win this match, we shall surely go on to win the competition for, to win with such abject batting nous, the Gods must surely be in our favour.
Oh. All out for 211 - 10 overs remaining!

8 for 66 boys..... no running between the wickets that can be commended and soft dismissals all over the place.

50 over campaign should be over tonight and we can concentrate on something else without mid season final congestion.

That was more than dismal, simply awful.

Of course, Grockle, I forgot that, today being Friday (your Sunday over there), you can watch the live stream.
You should have gone to the beach.

46C/115F Phrench….. no one with any sense is on the beach today.

Watching cricket in an AC villa is fine for me... I also have to clear all my booze before I leave next week so I HAVE to drink Thatchers while I am doing it.

Sorry to say that was one of the most brainless performances I have seen for some time.

Having overcome a lousy start (again), we got ourselves into an excellent position, only to throw it away in a truly comprehensive manner.

A few home truths need to be aired in the dressing room,
as that was simply unacceptable. The funereal atmosphere around the ground spoke volumes.

Need a miracle from here.

Yep it's an absolute mess as far as I can work out.

Doesn't suggest a great amount of momentum for our return to the CC1!!

If rain were to save us (is it still 20 overs per side for D/L to come into effect?) I would almost feel that Glos have been robbed.

I will be absolutely stunned if they play again today..... loads of surface water all over the place. Are we ahead on the D/L - we probably are because we were flying in the first 17 or so overs.
