Please don't mention dollies being dropped. It takes me back to the Gillette final in 1975 when Mike Smith spilled a chance from Clive Lloyd off Fred Titmus at mid on (or off?).

Barber does sound to be all pace and no accuracy. I hope I'm being unfair and someone will correct me.

Barber is sharp but raw.
He needs a lot coaching.
He bowled too short yesterday and got punished severely as
his final return showed

Correct Bea. A gamble that so far is not coming off. On the Radlett track, suggest Sowter should be in the frame.

A decent lower order batsman.

Ravi the best of what we had yesterday bowlerwise.. Grassing Westley twice which would have made Essex 12 for 2, something like that, could have made it interesting.Finny the unfortunate bowler.

Expensive returns by Barber and Cartwright not conducive to defending 250.

The surprise reunion of the Southport four, Rod/Ed flew down to Luton from Edinburgh, then trained it to Radlett was some compensation.

Think its a case of carrying on where we left off last year.
At least we made a bit of a game of it and it was an improvement on the 148 we made against them last season.
You have to go back to April 2017 for the last time we achieved a score over 250 in this competition.
Very disappointing

I think Tom is the only barber who makes you pull your own hair out!
