After winning all six group matches and then last week’s semi-final v Worcestershire, Middlesex will play Somerset at Radlett tomorrow in the final of the Second Eleven Trophy.

Unless there are any last-minute withdrawals, our line-up for this match is set to consist of Martin Andersson, George Scott (Captain), Tom Barber, Jack Davies (wicket-keeper), James Franklin, James Fuller, Luke Hollman, Tom Lace, Nathan Sowter, Thilan Walallawita and Robbie White.

Somerset are 60-2 after 11 overs, with Myburgh and Trego both back in the hutch for single figure scores. Their lineup also includes Jamie Overton and Max Waller, but I'm not particularly familiar with any of the others.

The Total Cricket Scorer page hasn't specified which of Somerset's 12-man squad has been left out, and instead listed all 12 of them in the batting order.

Somerset made exactly 250.

Tom Barber leading wicket taker, 3-50, with only 3 wides and no no balls!

Sowter also 3 wickets for 47.

We're 9 wickets down and 30 runs short, out of nowhere, after we looked like we were cruising to victory. Miserable.

Last wicket partnership of Walallawita and Barber edging closer and closer to the target...

An unbeaten last wicket partnership of 31 sees us home! Well batted Walallawita and Barber!

We went from cruising at 209-5 to seemingly out of the game at 220-9. Heroic stuff from the last two!

Well done the seconds. You may find there may be a few vacancies in the first team.

Well done to everyone who contributed to this triumph! It is not every day that Middlesex win a trophy, although admittedly it is less of a rarity for our 2nd XI than it is for our 1st XI.

An excellent day and a nail-biting finish. Even more to the credit of our last-wicket pair, the 31 runs they scored came off bowlers with bags of senior experience - Jamie Overton, Trego and Waller.

Incredible win. This was witnessed by some using various devices at Grace Road. As the last stand got us through and we were celebrating our 1sr XI lost 5 wickets for 33.

Congratulations indeed,I have sent mine via Twitter.

I'm not sure where you are coming from, with securing the club's future.
It's brilliant we have the the trophy,but.....the club said they want to promote youth,so,let's get it started.

By the way, yes,I'm still unhappy about the first 11 performance,So,let's promote youth

With the exception of Franklin, we fielded a young side which we hope will develop.
