going off the subject

I and a few others have often been accused of going off the subject of the a thread, but nothing compares to the Grockles. What started as a apology about Sportnetwork going down and then the question of when was the last time Somerset won three games on the bounce turned into a discussion about Ipswich Town Football Club, some of which I had no idea what they were talking about. Now if they were talking about the Rymans Football League Division One South well........

I agree. The tennis grass court season was splendid, despite the weather.

Following on to Ged's comment. I have spent the week in Leeds where the weather has been mostly very wet and in past I have been here when its cold. Yet regardless, the local folks most of whom haven't even got the physique for it, like to walk the city centre wearing next to nothing.

I agree. Business is also thriving for Ged ladd & Co. It will probably quieten down a bit in August (I hope to get to see a bit more cricket) but I have not been able to take as much time off so far this season as I should have liked.

That reminds me of a funny story I heard the other day.

They were two nuns in the bath and one said to other " pass me the soap please " to which the other replied "radio"

While we are on the subject of old TV game shows did anyone understand the clues on 3-2-1?

Didn't Fred Trueman introduce that TV programme - what was it called - where they played bar billiards and devil amongst the tailors - I seem to recall him smoking his pipe throughout - wouldn't be allowed today!

Exactly Ged, to think you walk into a pub and you now won't see anyone smoking. Yet how many people still use mobile phones when driving despite recent legislation.

Sorry forgot it was a sore point, literally,

The point I was actually trying to make was QPR have sold their best player Lee Cook and are destined for relegation
