"A cement mixer has collided with a prison van on the Kingston bypass. Motorists are asked to be on the lookout for 16 hardened criminals". R.I.P Ronnie Corbett, thanks for all the fun.

On the repeat series Cement mixer was replaced with viagra.

So sorry to hear of the death of Victoria wood, aged 62.

The missing four workers under the rubble of Didcot power station that collapsed in February still haven't been found.

Brief on Talk Sport News yesterday which kind of tells me if they are going to find anything it will be in the next day or two and this was put out there to get the story back in the news.

The waiting for the families involved must be terrible.

Prince Dies on Queen's 90th birthday.

That would make a good tabloid headline. And has she had a purple reign?

Idiot announcer on Stv.

Twice in 3 minutes he announced Victoria WOOD as Woods.

That sort of thing totally bugs me, as it is so disrespectful.

On our screens for 30 years, and he can't get her name right.

Chunky

Surely that was a tribute to Acorn Antiques?

Don't get you, Adelaide.

There were clips of Acorn Antiques, but it was her whole career they were celebrating.

Wendy Richard, and unbelievably, even Cliff Richard, are two others who suffered from having people stick an unwanted 'S' on the end of their names. How famous do you have to be for some dimwit announcer to get your name right?

Chunky

Getting the name wrong as a tribute to the production values out of which Acorn Antiques was taking the proverbial.

I did a double take when I thought I heard that Dan Carter had scored the winner for A***nal Ladies, on grounds of gender and the man having played for Racing 92 the previous day. Turned out to be Dani. Pity.

Hmmm, should be flying home from Vegas today, but plane has a Technical fault,so no fly.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
We have hotel and food paid for by Virgin Atlantic, but alcohol has to be paid for sad smiley
Update....As a complete jumbo jet of passengers was trying to rebook seats, yea,Virgin wouldn't do a full transfer, all available seats are taken.
We were offered economy seats after we paid premium economy, but didn't want that,we want the comfort.
So,the outcome is,we could get a flight from Vegas to LA,then LA to Heathrow, with 6 hour stop over.
Flight we are booked on,is Monday now,two days extra, hotel paid for by Virgin.
Lucky we got some money left!

We have found out,the plane actually landed on 3 engines,as an oil leak was detected and couldn't get fixed.
The engine is to be removed and sent for repair, very happy it was found out.

Just not impressed with the way Virgin have behaved, collecting all receipts and ready for refunds galore, means buying new train tickets from Gatwick to London, taking more a/l that was needed for future as well.

Why the hell is everyone moaning about the weather?

It's been beautiful in my part of the world for weeks now, with barely a wet day.

Middle would have got full play in all of their last few matches if they had been playing up here.

Seriously though, it does show how 'London centric' (or in the case pf 'Breakfast' Salford centric) the media are.

You are only getting what Scotland nearly always has- and only for a week or two.

I'm talking about tv personalities moaning, not MTWD posters!
