Re: Royal London - a competition too far or THE 3rd Format?

I've long said the 50-over tournament is my favourite format to watch, in that:

- you get 100 overs of cricket for your gate money (important if, like me, you have to travel a long way to see any live cricket);
- that's long enough for some ebb and flow, for teams' fortunes to change through the day;
- it's pretty close to proper cricket, rather than just a question of whether my big-money 'stars' can hit more 'sixers' or 'maximums' than yours, and there's a proper role for bowlers.

ECB, please keep, and boost, the 50-over cup.
