Re: LVCC vs Worcestershire (A)
Played 5 and lost 5 suggests Worcestershire are a weak side but I don't think that's the case. They have an experienced seam attack and some accomplished batsmen.
On paper we are by far the stronger team and will win if we play well but as far as I'm concerned there are no really poor teams in this division and Worcestershire are certainly capable of punishing any careless mistakes-I'm thinking of dropped catches, ill-disciplined bowling and impatient batting!
Delighted to see Harmy back although it is annoying to lose Onions to play in the meaningless Lions match.

Re: LVCC vs Worcestershire (A)
Ok so overcast conditions, Worcestershire having 2 of the 3 leading wicket takers(Wright is in first place;Richardson in 3rd)-why bat first?

Re: LVCC vs Worcestershire (A)
The decision to bat first probably had more to do with last week's game than this one but it certainly turned out well!

Re: LVCC vs Worcestershire (A)
Yes, turned out to be the right decision(just shows what I know!) However I do hope Colonel doesn't dwell on what happened against Somerset. There will be a time when bowling first is definitely the right thing to do and hopefully he will have the confidence to do so.
Don't mean to be complacent but this game is surely over even at this early stage? Just a question now of whether or not it'll be an innings defeat.
Blackie gone early this morning, a bit of a shame but not a problem.

Victory is assured barring weather interference and so it should be,but beware that future opposition will not roll over so easily.
Worcestewr sadly look set to return from whence they came, along with Leicester the weakest sides in the division.

Leicester are a weak side in the second Division. The Division that Middlesex currently plays in.

Re: LVCC vs Worcestershire (A)
But haven't you already predicted that Somerset will be relegated? "Sammy" or whatever your present name is?

I do wish you would make your mind up

Re: LVCC vs Worcestershire (A)
Probably just wishful thinking Grocky, however one thing I can predict with the utmost certainty is that 116 year search for the championship will continue for some time yet

Well I can predict with as much certainty that Somerset will be a hell of a lot closer to winning it than Middlesex for a considerable period of time.

Thanks for that prediction however because no matter how many identities you hide behind there is one constant in your profile. You can't make a decent prediction to save your life

So we've got a btter chance than ever with you against us.
