Australian fast bowler Brett Lee could well miss the first Ashes test in Cardiff, which starts on Wednesday, thanks to a rib injury picked up in the drawn warm up game with the England Lions. Lee will have a scan on the injury late on Monday, but he is a major doubt for the Ashes opener.

Australian fast bowler Brett Lee could well miss the first Ashes test in Cardiff, which starts on Wednesday, thanks to a rib injury picked up in the drawn warm up game with the England Lions. Lee will have a scan on the injury late on Monday, but he is a major doubt for the Ashes opener.
It will be a set back for the Aussies, as Lee took 7 wickets for 114 runs in the game at Worcester.
An Australian team spokesman confirmed "He has a sore left rib, but we won't know the extent of it until the scans are back."
