England's one-day star Ben Hollioake has died in a car crash in Perth, Australia aged just 24. All our thoughts are with Hollioake's family, who are said to be "devastated" by their loss.

Ben Hollioake Dies In Car Crash Aged Just 24

Benjamin Caine Hollioake has died aged just 24 in a car crash in Perth, Australia.

The massively talented youngster had been visiting family in Australia, and crashed after leaving a gathering. The female passenger in Hollioake's Porsche is in a critical condition.

Nasser Hussain, currently in New Zealand leading his side in the test series, said that Hollioake's death had come as a great shock to the team, that Hollioake was one of the finest lads around, and that there was a severe state of shock in the dressing room.

Hollioake was a well liked man and will be sorely missed by club and country, but moreover, by friends and family. His brother Adam, also an England cricketer, said in a brief statement shortly after the crash that both he and his family were "devastated" by their loss.

At this time, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that our thoughts, and our condolences are with the man's family.
