Duleep Trophy Squads and Schedule Announced

By Indian Cricket Fever
August 31 2017

The Duleep Trophy will be played on a sqad basis rather than a Zonal basis as in the past.  Hopefully this will ensure more challenging matches.  Kanpur and Lucknow the two U.P. centers are set to host the historic tournament.  Like last year the tournament will be played day/night with pink balls.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announces the schedule for the upcoming Paytm Duleep Trophy 2017, which will be played from September 7th to 29th, 2017, at Kanpur and Lucknow.

First match is between Indian Green led by Parthiv Patel and India Red led by Abhinav Mukund... The Green team looks more balanced to me, but we'll have to wait and see how it pans out.

Red win easy, Ishant was truly poor, I think he may be done....

Raina seems to have slimmed down, but don't see a wayback for him in our ODI/T20 setup....

Shaw & Sundar impress, Dinesh Karthik(thankfully Mukund was out) skippered well....

24 needed with a bunny coming in at 11? No problem!

Yes good to see the youngsters impressing... Shaw still needs to up his fitness... though his batting skills are superb...

Washington Sundar was in the Jayant Yadav mold... btw, whatever happened to Jayant...? he seems to have dropped off the face of the earth... He was so KEY in India's clean sweep of England in the Tests last year...
