Big Perce's Winter Warmer Quiz Part Two

Adoration of the Magi?
By Big Perce
December 24 2009
It's that "three wise magi" time of year, so what could be more suitable than Part two of Big Perce's Winter Warmer Quiz. Each part of the MTWD winter quiz is a contest in its own right, so there is a miniscule prize up for grabs for this quiz alone. There's a Middesex angle to many of the questions, though not always obvious. Many thanks once again to Big Perce for his top quizzing.

The following questions are part two of Big Perce's Winter Warmer Quiz.   Fear not if you didn't enter the first part; each part stands alone and there is a miniscule prize up for grabs just for this part of the quiz.

Also, everyone is still in with a chance of winning the Tour de Big Perce.  The way the scoring system works, with points awarded for winning or getting placed in any part of the quiz, you could still win the overall prize even if you didn't enter (or didn't get placed) in the first part.

Part Two comprises multi-part questions 5 to 8.

You have until 23:59 on Thursday 14th January to submit your answers, to gedladd@hotmail.co.uk

Good luck, everyone.  Oh - and merry Christmas to all MTWD readers.

Big Perce, from my own point of view I found part 2 a little easier than part 1. Although I had to do a bit of research, a lot of it was to confirm my first thoughts. It would surprise me if I have more than one wrong.

Does anybody agree?

If you've only got one wrong, Mt Trellis, that is very good.
For a quiz buff I'd agree that pt 2 is probably a bit easier than pt 1, but excellent scoring anyway. If you got one wrong I'll be interested to know what defeated you - but you've got a while to go yet to check it out more!

Good luck everyone.

We are now into the last hour, so basically a minimum of 15 or 16 overs (depending on whether you are playing to Test or County Championship regulations) must be bowled between 10:59pm and 11:59pm.

I've just thought to myself that if Kevin Pietersen's middle name is Peter, his surname is Pietersen and his place of birth is Pietermaritzburg then shouldn't his nickname be something like Pete?
