In reply though the Delhi team started with confidence, once the first wicket fell at 38, the required run rate climbed steadily and the pressure increased on the batsmen who lost their wickets in quick succession.
The highlight of the Mumbai Indians bowling was Malinga uprooting the stumps of Dilshan with a quickie. What a sight!
Bravo took the most important wicket of Sehwag and ended with two wickets in his kitty.
Wicket-keeper, Tare, too pitched in with a quick-reflex stumping of danger man Dinesh Karthik, who failed to connect Harbhajan.
The chasers finally were all out for 120, giving the Mumbai Indians a victory of 98 runs, the highest so far this year.
Sachin was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The Mumbai team would be now playing in their home turf against the Bangalore boys on Saturday, March 20th. Match starts at local time 8pm.
