We came into the tournament with an aim to play our best cricket and I am happy that we have come to the semifinal stage without losing a single game. The more heartening thing is that every time a new player has been drafted, he performed. That means we have seven different match winners from seven games and it augurs well for the team in the knock out stage.
Some of the players are still good to play international cricket and are fantastic one day players. Being ignored for the national squad they looked at this platform to showcase their skills and also remind all that they still have the hunger and potential.
Though everyone is speaking of Lahore Badshahs as favourites now, I am under no illusion and we are aware that one mistake here and the entire good work will be lost. In the final you can come back after losing the first game of the best-of-three contest but in the semifinals there are no comebacks.
No team which has reached the semifinals can be taken lightly as they have played good cricket to reach so far and we respect the strength of Kolkata Tigers. In Twenty20 cricket, even two or three overs can change the course of the game and I hope that we are the one to make that difference.
