Test cricket is dead, Long live test cricket
By Kriky

Three series under way (none involving India, blimey! times are a-changin) and all of them are producing results. While we all know the direct results, some news on the sidelines are fascinating.

Aussie media cry hoarse over:

a. English are sledging more than the Aussies!!! HAHAHAHA, hic, let's drink to that mate! Introduce a sledging meter, anything above see level shall be reported.

b. Use technology to avoid umpiring bloopers – mate, the English used technology quite well, that’s why they sent you to Australia in the technology of that time... ships! Now the one (k)needed is Freddy Flint to send you packing.

c. Inexperience of the Aussie team playing at Lords – Gosh! thats the bestest of the lot. The lords of the ring are now the half dead prince.

d. Umpiring errors are irrelevant, says Ponting – wow, that must have been real hard to swallow. Wonder how many times he had to say that in front of the mirror before he got it right. I’m quite sure it initially must have come out as ‘umpires are irrelevant’.

Moving on:

SL vs Pak – It's bottoms up for the Pakistanis. Their lower half is playing too loose and giving the game away. Maybe they should get some brief advice from Afridi, before MCC puts that up for display along with his jersey. Speaking of whom, he wants to be remembered as the craziest cricketer that played for Pakistan. Afridi, to do that is quite easy - just be your normal 19 year old self.

WI vs Bangla – Credit to Bangla boys, they have shown that a second string WI team is actually second string. Mortaza must really be having a bad run in life. Capped at IPL as the most expensive Bangladeshi, never played enough, made country captain, gets injured and his sidekick leads to win the series. Hold in there mate, the eclipse may bring a turn of luck. As for the WI board, the eclipse hopefully eclipses their brain fade. My guess is that by then the entire WI team would have migrated to UK.
