Nick Rook takes cricket manager job at Caythorpe

Nick Rook
By Alan Rowley
December 8 2002
Former Kimberley Institute and Sandiacre Town skipper Nick Rook has moved to Caythorpe for 2003. Rook, who led Kimberley to fourth place in last season's Nottinghamshire Premier League has accepted the role of cricket manager.

Rook was introduced to his new colleagues at the club's AGM in November and Caythorpe's website quotes him as saying "there would be no sweeping changes but more subtle ones". He went on to say that he was "looking forward to what promises to be a good season particularly with the injection of quality players that is occurring at 1st XI level".

Rook said that "Although 1st XI cricket must take preference as this is the benchmark for the club I will be taking a big interest in cricket at all levels".

Outlawed wishes Nick the best of luck in this demanding new role.
