Outlawed sees in the New Year on a high
By Alan Rowley
January 1 2003
As the bells were ringing in the New Year, the final site statistics for 2002 were being calculated and they showed that Outlawed enjoyed its best month ever in December. Page views for the month were almost 10% higher than the site's previous best recorded in August 2002.

Overall page views were an impressive 14,628, against the previous best of 13,376. Even more impressive was the number of story page views which were over 87%, with the message board totalling just under 13%. The split was 12,798 for story pages and 1,830 for message board views.

The number of users recorded during December was in excess of 770, again easily beating the previous best. This figure is calculated by recording the number of unique I.P. addresses.

Another pleasing aspect about December's figures was the fact that the daily story page views showed that Outlawed occasionally bettered sister site Sting In The Tail, which has been going now for over three years. So, the newcomer is beginning to make inroads on the Derbyshire site's long-standing lead in the English cricket sites on the network.

With the new season a little over three months away, Outlawed is going from strength to strength. With the newly-formed link with owzat-cricket boosting the site's readership, who would bet against Outlawed overtaking Sting In The Tail before the end of the 2003 season?
