Lewis and Cavs part company

Chris Lewis
By Alan Rowley
April 7 2003
Former Nottinghamshire and England star Chris Lewis has left West Indies Cavaliers. Lewis has "a lot of commitments" and "would have missed three-quarters of the season" according to club secretary Tyrone Browne. Lewis' rumoured move to Clifton cannot be confirmed.

Cavaliers also lose wicketkeeper Aaron Thomas and Andrew Jackman. Thomas is replaced by former Derbyshire keeper Adrian Rollins. Also recruited is all rounder Michael Millwood. Pace man Lindon Joseph returns after a fiery season at Cuckney.

Cavaliers are hoping to recruit a left-arm bowler from the Leicester area to stengthen their squad. Speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post, Browne said: "We have a changed team, but we have a better balance and hope to be there or thereabouts."
