Matthew Hoggard

The latest of England's young fast bowlers to come through, Matthew Hoggard has steadily progressed into a good test match bowler.

With a devastating 7-63 against New Zealand during winter 2001, Hoggard rose to the challenge of being the new-ball bowler in the absence of Darren Gough.

Over the next year, Hoggard should hopefully develop into a quality bowler, so as to be able to take the lead role when Caddick and Gough come to the end of their careers.
