3 Englishmen named in the ROW squad

As testament to England's improvement and successes over the past two years, three of their players have been named in the Rest of the World side to play Australia in a series of internationals down under.

The three being, Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff, Steve Harmison and Kevin Pietersen will be joined by some of the finest players of the past decade, and in the case of some, of all time. England are the second best represented, tied with India on three. South Africa are best represented with six, with both captaincy roles also being filled by the Proteas. Sri Lanka and Pakistan have two and West Indies and New Zealand have one each.

The series schedule includes a three-match ODI series at Melbourne's Telstra Dome on October 5, 7 and 9 and a six-day Super Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground from October 14-19.
