On Monday, they restricted Stocksbridge to 145 and were led home by skipper Simon Pratt (54) to claim second place. Hathersage hang on to third spot despite having a mixed weekend. University Staff's Shepherd (5-32) saw Hathersage bowled out for 72 chasing the home side's 109-7 on Saturday. Hathersage bounced back on Monday, making 158-9 (Drury 61, Stow 5-59) and then rolled over Centralians for just 61 (Joe Woolway 6-37). After Saturday's defeat, Stanton In Peak (163 ao) kept in the hunt with a winning draw against Sheffield Works Department, who held out at 103-8. In the remaining Division One games, on Saturday Centralians made 109-9 (A.Hibbert 4-36) which was passed by Stocksbridge for the loss of six wickets. Dronfield Woodhouse made 188 thanks to Mike Parker's 48 and in a tight finish, restricted Parkhead to 174-9. Michael Clegg (5-41) continued his good form as Sheffield Works Department could only muster 120-9 in reply to home side Baslow's 161-9 (Sampson 4-36). On Monday, Old Edwardians / Collegiate posted an impressive 216-5 (Naik 56, Lister 50 no) and then sent back Dronfield Woodhouse for 114 (Maskery 43). Grindleford lead the way in Division Two due to an emphatic victory over Old Edwardians / Collegiate II. Simon Buchan took 7-6 to dismiss the Abbeydale side for just 29, which Grindleford passed with just one wicket down. Bakewell move up to second by virtue of dismissing Ashford In The Water for just 54 (Roy Peach 5-12) in reply to their own score of 84. Holmesfield made 201-7 (Youngs 70) but Parkhead II comfortably achieved the draw at 180-8 (Spilman 50). Akeel Sarwar took 4-26 to dismiss Sheffield Works Department II for 96 in reply to Millhouses 151 (Gaubert 44). In a low scoring affair, Stocksbridge II made 112 and Chesterfield Barbarians replied with 84-9. Hundall II moved to the top of Division Three with a three wicket victory over Millhouses II. Azhar Khan made 45 in Millhouses 113, which Hundall passed thanks to 73 from Bayston. Previous leaders Laycocks could only manage 94 (Jewitt 44, Brown 5-28) in reply at home to Dronfield Woodhouse II 153 (Finch 76, Armitage 4-4). Centralians II had a profitable weekend, dismissing Calow for 87 (D.Verity 6-23) to gain a five wicket win and Hathersage II for 116 (D.Verity 4-28) in reply to their own 136-8 with that man Verity remaining unbeaten on 60. De La Salle claim second spot, having bowled out Calow for 78 (Paul Lally 4-20) to claim a six wicket win, despite going down against Calver on Saturday. In the remaining games, Hathersage II passed University Staff's 77 (Franklin 44, Rowney 7-23) for the loss of six wickets and Dronfield Sports II passed Millhouses II 122 (Dunkley 69, Myers 7-20) also for the loss of six wickets. Ridgeway and Richland Wanderers lost their top two placings in Division Four due to a dramatic tied game on Saturday. Richland were bowled out for 164 (Kevin Tann 63, Lee Keys 7-59). Ridgeway were cruising to victory at 88 without loss thanks to Woodhead (39) and McLoughlin (44), but Martin Fisher (5-40) brought the Wanderers back into the game. Ridgeway could only make seven from the final over to close on 164-7 and end the game as a tie. Richland fell further behind on Monday as they could only make 85 in reply to Transport's 101 (Mark Wilmott 5-40). Ridgeway followed suit by making 113-7 in reply to Coal Aston's 170-8 (Burke 5-44). New leaders in Division Four are BT Pensions / AGD I, who demolished Great Longstone for just 42 to record a nine wicket win on Saturday, followed by a winning draw on Monday, holding Stocksbridge III to 123-9 (Ramsdale 5-39) in reply to their own 141-8. Baslow II move into second. On Saturday they made 169-7 (Tony Sadler 67) and dismissed Coal Aston for 69 (John Hadfield 4-10) and on Monday, they passed Chesterfield Barbarians II 154-5 (Barton 54, Bradbury 41) with five wickets down , Bob Herbstritt hitting 59 not out. Transport take third
spot, having dismissed Stocksbridge III for 61 (Garth Lewis 5-10) to record
a seven wicket triumph. Zingari claimed their inaugural win, passing Chesterfield
Barbarians II 83-9 (Neville Smallwood 6-23) with five wickets down and
followed that up with 161-7 (Andy Nunnington 63) against BT Pensions /
