Dan Cherry Season
Rating 6/10 Given
a chance to open the innings because of injuries and David Hemp's poor
form, but a top score 47 in 5 matches was not a good performance.
Will struggle for opportunities next season, even more so if Jimmy Maher
is signed up.

Dean Cosker 7/10 A mixed season. While he excelled in the one-day games (13 wickets in the NUL, and Glamorgan's second most economical bowler), his return of 20 wickets in 10 Championship matches was poor. Two spinners in the four-day game was a traditional idea that did not come off. Will be a regular in the one-day side but may play more in the 2nd XI next season. |

Robert Croft 8/10 One of the main reasons for Glamorgan's success, Croft also had his most successful season with the bat to date, hitting two centuries (v Gloucs in CC and v Surrey in C&G). Returned to open in the one-day game and batted at six regularly throughout the season in the Championship. Second leading wicket-taker in the NUL in the country, and returned 40 wickets in First-Class cricket as well. |

Adrian Dale 7/10 Player of the Year for the past two seasons, it was unlikely that Dale would do it again this year. Although he hit 850+ runs in the Championship, his first century came in the match at Colwyn Bay, and like other batsmen, did not hit many runs in the first half of the season. Policy of playing 5 bowlers limited his chance with the ball in the Championship, but played a full part in the NUL, playing every game, and hitting 354 runs as well as taking 17 wickets. |

Andrew Davies 8/10 Did everything required of him in the one-day games, and provided a contrasting new ball partner for Kasprowicz. He also proved that he can take wickets in the Championship, taking 5 for 79 in the penultimate game of the season. If there are just three seamers in the Championship side, he may struggle to find a place, but could force Cosker out of the side, and is above Wharf and Parkin in the pecking order. |

Alun Evans The fact that he did not play a first-class game for Glamorgan this season tells the story. Released after 6 years with the club, he failed to build on the early promise that he and Wayne Law showed. Now overtaken by other younger players, he was felt to be surplus to requirements. Is unlikely to find another county, though he scored 1000 runs in the South Wales League this season. |
