Giles returns home
By Sam Hathaway
December 16 2006
Ashley Giles has returned home to be with his wife who is suffering from a potentially serious illness. On behalf of the England cricket board i'd like to wish his wife a speedy recovery and our thoughts are with him and his family.

The left arm spinner who has recently been replaced by fans favourite Monty Panesar has been replaced by Jamie Dalrymple.

Duncan Fletcher "The thoughts of all the players and management are with Ashley and Stine at such a difficult time."

Fletcher went on: "It is typical of Ashley that he has dealt with this in such a professional manner, and we wish Stine a speedy recovery.

"There is no chance of Ashley coming back to join us at this stage."
