England to seek advice from Warne?

708 test wickets

Duncan Fletcher has said that he would consider asking Shane Warne to help improve Englands performances on the pitch, by focussing on the spinners. If Warne does help out England it would provide a huge boost as we try to reproduce the teams confidence that we once had.

"Someone of that calibre now would be very useful for England," he said. "He's got the capabilities of helping anyone at international cricket."

"Can you imagine the help he could give to a very, very experienced spinner in the side?" said the England coach.

When asked about Glenn McGrath too the England coach said "We are prepared to speak to anyone. There's no doubt about it."

For the next two years Warne will be seeing out his contract with Hampshire and many will think that as he will be based in England he could get involved with the England side in some way.

Fletcher has insisted yet again that he will not quit as coach.
