Deutsche Bank C'ship Odds - Eur Surely Jokin’
By Paddy Power August 26 2008
Having not seen his name in a newspaper for one of his recent fashion faux pas or an outlandish claim like insisting he's the "world's number 2" or, heaven forbid, winning a tournament, Englishman Ian Poulter has decided not to take part in the final Ryder Cup team qualifying event at the Johnnie Walker Classic. Poulter's motives have been questioned, but according to the Open runner-up the decision was golfing based and had nothing to do with the huge prize money on offer at the final three Fed-ex tournaments. "Boston is my only opportunity to qualify for the final two play-off events...[which] conflicts with my ambition to play Gleneagles and earn my spot in the team," he revealed. Will Poulter be cashing in at the Deutsche Bank C'ship?
