Yorkshire maintained their unbeaten start to the season by beating Scotland in the Friends Provident at Edinburgh. This was the third time Yorkshire have played the Scots and they have won each encounter.

Yorkshire maintained their unbeaten start to the season by beating Scotland in the Friends Provident at Edinburgh. This was the third time Yorkshire have played the Scots and they have won each encounter.
Anthony McGrath and Tim Bresnan played leading roles in Yorkshire's victory. Yorkhsire batted first and with White and Vaughan gone with 55 on the board it was McGrath and Younus who got the innings going with a partnership of 82. McGrath made 66 and Younus 42. Some good late hitting from Bresnan 26 (17 balls) and Pyrah 24 (14 balls) took Yorkshire to 259 for 8.
Scotland never seriously threatened the total and where restricted to 217, Bresnan 3-22 and Gough 2-32 doing most of the damage.
