T-shirt to mark century
By Richard Watts
September 1 2007
11 August 1977, England v Australia at Headingley, Greg Chappel bowls, over pitched on leg stump, Boycott on drives, Roope at the non-strikers end jumps over the ball and it carries on the way to the boundary. Four to Boycott to complete his Hundredth century, the first man to achieve the milestone in a test match.

Yorkshire fans website the Corridor of Uncertainty wanted to celebrate the occasion of the Yorkshire legends achievement and have produced a limited edition of 100 T-shirts to mark the occasion.  Funds from T-shirt sales go towards the Yorkshire Pride appeal.

A competition to design the T-shirt was held on the site, judged by Boycott’s wife Rachael.  The picture of the great moment, which appears on the shirt was taken by cricket’s most famous photographer Patrick Eager.  He has kindly allowed use of the picture free of charge.  The T-shirt was worn by the waiters at the dinner held to mark the 30th anniversary of the great moment.

The T-shirt is available in either black or white and in sizes medium, large and extra large.  It can be purchased online from the Yorkshire County Cricket Club www.yorkshireccc.com or from the Corridor of Uncertainty www.corridorofuncertainty.co.uk and go to the message board for details.  Cost is £14.99 plus postage.
