Yorkshire made 237, solid early order contributions from Gale, White, Brophy and Taylor but the best was from McGrath whose 41 from 58 balls contained 5 fours. Marshall with 4 for 47 was the best of the Red Rose bowlers.
Yorkshire were always on top as they bowled out Lancashire for 196, half centuries for Flintoff and Chappel were eclipsed by excellent Yorkshire bowling; two wickets for Kruis, Shahzad and Patterson and a fine 3-31 from David Wainwright.
