Yorkshire impress again

By Richard Watts

Yorkshire's fine start to the Pro-Arch Trophy continued when they defeated Somerset by 51 runs. A fine all round display by Adil Rashid played a major factor in the victory. He made 35 not out from 40 deliveries and then took 2 for 23 in his ten overs.

Yorkshire batted first Andrew Gale and Joe Sayers putting on 97 for the first wicket, Sayers was first to go for 43, Gale made 63 (61 balls).  In addition to Rashid's efforts there were also good contributions from Simon Guy, 26 and for the second game in succession Anthony McGrath 53.  Yorkshire totalled 264 for 7.

The Tykes dismissed Somerset for 213, Banks 55 not out the best for Somerset.  Pyrah and Hannon-Dalby both took two wickets in encouraging spells to back up match winner Rashid.
