Contractual Obligation - JL in India?

As part of my contractual obligation (though I don't think I actually have a contract) with SportNetwork I have to post every 14 days? How does this relate to the position with Mr Langer and April 20? Well he's supposed to be here by then to open the batting for us in the first competitve match of the season...but will he be? How are his contractual obligations panning out?

At the January AGM there were two questions really that were emphatically answered by the top table.

Question - Were we looking to strengthen the squad for next summer?

Answer - we were always looking but if nothing came up our sqaud was strong enough to confidently perform in the First Division (I summarise - not verbatem)

Question - Would Justin Langer be in Taunton for the whole summer to captain the side?

Answer - He would be here for the first game of the season and then would be captain for the rest of it.

Now the forum content over the last few days seems to see this in a less definite light because of the Indian situation with their break away league.  Our glorious leader has been contracted to play for one of the sides at a considerable fee - far more than he'll be getting from his jaunt to the South West for sure!!

That competition runs through most of May and into parts of June as far as I can see.  If that is the case how is Mr Langer going to square that circle should his side do well and go into the later stages of the event?

Is Mr Gould in discussion with the man from Oz and are those cast iron guarantees of the beginning of the year going to come back and haunt our Chief Executive as Somerset start their comeback to the top flight with Andy Caddick in charge and a hole in their star spangled batting line-up at Number 3. 

No Matt Wood. No Neil McKenzie - who will fill that hole?  Omari Banks may feature but not at number 3.  Is John Francis back to confident ways? Will they move James Hildreth up the order? Will they call in Arul Suppiah to revive his role of 18 months ago?  Is Banger going to drop back and leave the gap in the opening pair?

Or are we all panicking over nothing?  Justin is already packing his bags for both climates and the arrangments are all in order and he will stride out in the white and maroon on time and on form in about a month and a half.

Wonder when we'll actually find out?
