THE ALL ROUNDERS - Jacks of all trades and masters of what? Well some are good with the ball and some with the bat but a master of both? Well they are rare treasures indeed! Is Omari one of those? We don't know yet but if he performs at anything like we expect him to be capable of then we'll be very thankful that we have him!!

Omari. Ex West Indies international. Second team Somerset debutant of last season. Full contracted player for 2008. Anguillian by birth. English by law because of Anguilla's protectorate status so not a kolpak!! A tall athletic very slow bowler and with a reputation for big hitting against second team bowling. BUT... Still has a lot to prove to us in a first class arena and it will start this year. Hopefully he will be a valuable and long term addition to our squad and we will see what the West Indian crficket board sawa that made him a young international. |
