THE BATSMEN People who concentrate for hours on trying to hit the little round thing to a place where there isn't a person and preferably along the ground if there is!!! Only at home when at the crease and on strike. John has had a couple of manky years and this is his year to turn that around. All he needs now is the chance to get it sorted.

John's time at Taunton hasn't always been easy. A promising start was stalled by injury and loss of form and he hasn't got back into first team consideration in any meaningful way yet. But the friendlies at the start of this year have shown a new level of steel in the Francis frame. The arrival of Zander de Bruyn hasn't made John's job any easier this year but he certainly has the ability to make a claim to a top 5 spot and we all hope to see him stabalise his position at the club this year. A storming close in fielder - his way in may be through the 20/20 tournament. We'll have to see how things unfold. |
