James Anderson
Anderson only lasted nine balls in bat, and after a few very good defensive strokes and a single run, Kumble knocked the true Lancashireman's leg stump down, meaning England's hopes of getting something from the match went with it.
India came back out with a target of 73, and Anderson opened up the bowling and really got stuck in to Karthik and had an appeal for a edge to wicket keeper Matt Prior turned down. His opening over ended with a maiden.
Jimmy only managed the solitary wicket in the India first Innings, and that was the wicket of Ganguly, who edge to Prior for 79. Andserson has to be proud of his batting contribution though, getting 1 run in each innings and lasting a total of 13 balls. He isn't the strongest batter all Lancashire fans know that and he tried his best and give it his all. Unlucky James lad.
