Nottinghamshire had won the toss and without hesitation, Gallian chose to bat on a fine day at Lord’s. The decision paid off too as the home bowlers toiled and were not helped by some sloppy Middlesex fielding either. A score of 294 was always competitive and Middlesex were never up with the rate as they were eventually bowled out 8.2 overs to spare.
The team know that a greater effort will be needed at Bristol on Wednesday when one-day kings Gloucestershire are the opponents in the C & G quarter finals.
