By David Slater
June 22 2004
Middlesex secured a draw with Worcestershire and maximum bonus points, bowling Worcestershire out for 399 late on in the final day. Middx still had 5 overs to bat and were 8/1 when the captains shook hands for the draw.

Day 3 - Rain causes havoc

Rain was the only winner at Lord's today as a measly 38 overs were bowled, making a draw the most likely result. Worcestershire were 170/1 when the Umpires gave up hope of any more action today.

Day 2 - Weekes takes control

102 from Paul Weekes and 82 from Captain Joyce gave Middx control of the match as they were eventually bowled out for 508. Vikram Solanki taking 5-40. In reply Worcestershire were 46/1 when the batsmen went off for bad light.

Day 1 - Sven leads the way

An unbeaten 104 from Sven Koenig inspired Middlesex to 299/2 at close of play. Hutton (90) and new vice captain Ed Joyce (59*) also helped but Sven did retire injured claiming to have pulled a side muscle although the club physio felt he would be ok this morning!
