Middlesex got off to a good start as 3 wickets from Simon Cook put Worcestershire on the ropes at 27/3 but 120 from Hick and 63 from Leatherdale put the visitors in control. Simon Cook ended up with 5-34. Worcs ended up on top.
The Middlesex reply stuttered to 14/2 but a brilliant partnership from Ben Scott (42), batting at number 3 and Owais Shah (54) made up for the early problems. However Middlesex lost the remaining 8 wickets for just 70 runs, a carbon copy of the defeat under the New Road lights and Worcestershire took the points.
