Officially endorsed by the ECB, the game will hope to better the rather disapointing Brian Lara Cricket game from the same company source, which let down the hardcore followers of the game.
Due out to coincide with the start of the Ashes at the begining of July, it is set to tap into what will be a cricket loving thirst once the action gets underway.
Scenes of 2005, when some 10,000 supporters were locked out of the drawn third ashes test, will no doubt be at the fore front of the marketing men, as the game nears it's release.
It will be the first cricketing console game since both Brian Lara and Ea sport's Cricket 2007 failed to re-capture the basic elements of our great game, and which ultimately led to many a disapointed gaming punter.
