Stewart approves of Foster
By Site Admin
June 20 2009
Former England wicketkeeper Alec Stewart says that James Foster is currently the best gloveman in the world, folowing his showing in the World Twenty20. Despite England's failure to reach the semi final stage, Stewart beleives that Foster was a massive plus point for the home nation ahead of the Ashes this summer.

Two superb stumpings in the tournament from Foster puts the spotlight on the Matt Prior debate again, and should England go with a specialist gloveman for the Ashes series, or stick with Prior's superior batting talent.

Stewart though, wouldn't go as far as to commit Fosters to an Ashes role, when he spoke on TALkSport "Matt Prior, for the balance of the Test side, is very much nailed on in that position"

But on the subject of Fosters work in the Twenty20, he did say "His glovework is absolutely top class.

"He changed the game (against India) with that stumping to get rid of Yuvraj Singh. It was pure class, pure genius."

Come off it Stewie, don't get carried away,a couple of routine stumpings, that admittedly you'd have dropped on the floor, hardly makes the guy the World's best.
Get a life mate and a decent opinion to go with it,Dhoni,Sangakaar,Kamal these were the blokes that stood out ,or were you only watching England?
