Dernbach Out of ODI's

By Tom James
July 3 2012

Fast bolwer Jade Dernbach has been released from the England One Day Squad, due to an injury picked up in the win at the Oval on Monday....

The Middlesex fast bowler has picked up a side strain, and a replacement will be announced soon for the remainder of the five match series.

England lead the series 2-0, as they look to become the first ever team to lead the rankings in all formats of the game, something they can acheive with a 5-0 hammering of the olde enemy.

Dernbach was due to miss Wednesday's third ODI, to attend the funeral of Surrey team mate Tom Maynard. It also means that Stuart Meaker will be missing from the squad, for the very same reason, so Chris Woakes stands a good chance of a recall, should Jimmy Anderson still be ruled out with a groin injury.
