Cook Not Fazed by Warne 'Jibes'

By Dan Rankin
November 5 2013

England Captain Alasatair Cook has put aside comments made by former Australian great Shane Warne, that he is a 'boring' and 'negative' captain, as the Essex opener gets ready for his first stint in the middle, during this winters tour.....

Warne was speaking ahead of this winters Ashes, which he feels his homeland will regain the 'urn, held by England for the past three series.

Cook dismissed Warne's coments by saying "It doesn't seem times have changed at all, does it, since last summer?"

"It's pretty much exactly what was said in the summer. We had pretty good results then as well."Cook went on.

Cook will feature in England's side, as they take on Australia 'A', in a four day warm up in Hobart, with Stuart Broad, Graeme Swann and Kevin Pietersen all set to feature for the first time in the pre-ashes warm up matches.

Many feel, that ahead of the Brisbance test on November 20th, that two slots in the England side, are still to be decided, with the batting spot at number six, and the third seamer position, still up for grabs.

Time has proven Warne to have been spot on.Cook a disaster, aimless, clueless, unimaginative, lacking in leadership, unispiring and even quite deluded as to his tesms capabilities, expect his resignation after Sydney.4-0 or 5-0 he cannot survive.
