| Worse Essex Moment? | Losing against Surrey in the NUL 8th September 2002 at Chelmsford in the last over when we needed 3 runs to win in losing the game all out 2 runs short. Napier should have stayed on strike instead of taking a single...GUTTED. Ronnie's words whilst standing halfway up the players steps said it it all; "Shit!", as I walked past at the end of the game. Then to hear a few days later that Surrey were behind the over rate and we would have won on that basis with bonus runs if we had batted it out! |
