Lewis replaced Noffke for Somerset trip
By Jon Steer
July 26 2005
Australian Mick Lewis is recalled to the Durham squad in place of compatriot Ashley Noffke for the trip to Somerset tomorrow. Durham will be hoping for a repeat of their victory over Somerset at Stockton earlier in the season.
Paul Collingwood will have fond memories of the win against Somerset back in May, he took eight wickets in the match including his first championship five wicket haul.

Mick Lewis has been playing club cricket since his last appearance for Durham but is still third in the first class averages and made it clear after his last match that he would be keen to rejoin the squad if he was needed. Lewis is available for the next three championship matches before he has to return to Australia where he is testifying in a court case.

Noffke is likely to be out for the rest of the season so Durham will have the next three weeks to find a replacement if they feel one is needed.

Calum Thorp is also included in the squad for Somerset, him and Lewis are the only additions to the remaining 10 that faced Derbyshire. Nicky Peng has been included in the squad for the A team match against Lancashire.

Full squad:
Mike Hussey
Gary Scott
Paul Collingwood
Gordon Muchall
Dale Benkenstein
Gareth Breese
Philip Mustard
Mick Lewis
Liam Plunkett
Graham Onions
Mark Davies
Callum Thorp
